Shakespeare couldn't have written it any better
January 21, 2007 The Fall season is over, ending with us in 6th place. Proudly, we were also one of the few teams allowed to play in the GameBattles.com America's Army final fall season tournement. Along with the highs, we saw some lows. The first was losing one of our teammates, when he was reactivated in the army and redeployed to Iraq. The second was when the team calling itself 138 was utterly destroyed by us in a match, and not being able to swallow their pride for having been beaten fair and square, turned in a complaint to Game Battles, that we had cheated. Specifically that sMic had cheated. But, that wasn't the lowest blow. No. That was still to come. you see, we have come to expect whining from some teams like theirs. "no one can be that good!" They yell. We are. We practice every day and make friends with the best players out there, and play against them in order to better ourselves. In doing so, SOG has garnered a reputation of being one of the very best clans, and sporting some of the best players on America's Army. But, there are always those who envy that skill and talent. So, their complaint wasn't the blow that hurt the team. No. That was saved for the team leader we loved and trusted. Without even asking the team, or the player who had the allegation made against him, our team leader accepted and turned in the ticket, giving a worthless team a win they didn't earn, and blackening the eye of every member of SOG. Then, to sink the knife in deeper, without talking to a single team captain or member, he shut our clan down. We found out, after the fact, in a short but "me so sorry" email. In the army, we called guys who did that sort of shit "buddy fuckers". SOG doesn't carry grudges. Ever. We suck it up, and drive on. We forgive our old leader his actions and face the new challenge of the next season. We still aren't ones to take anything laying down, either. We got as good as we are, because we are fighters. We never back down from a good fight. So, as of this last Sunday, SOG is back, and better than ever. Same team, but with a new command structure and a few new members. We look forward to this new season and the ones to come. To our fellow AA teams, we look forward to facing you in battle. Well, except for the ones who actually do glitch and cheat. You guys can suck our balls. Especially Twisty Weedman, or wasted Tweedman, as I call him, and any team that allows him on with them. God, how I hate that wall and door glitching, corner leaning ass-fuck. ~ Cohen |
